exacq Setup

PC

1. Go to http://www.exacq.com and click on Support, then Software Downloads.

2. Download exacqVision Client Installer.

3. Run the program and click Next. Accept the license agreement and click Next twice. Check ‘Put a shortcut on the desktop’, click Next again and click Finish.

4. exacqVision Client should appear in the Start Menu (Windows 7). On Windows 8, you may need to click the down arrow on the start menu to view all applications first.

5. The program will appear with a configuration screen. Click on ‘Add Systems’ on the left side. Click New. The Hostname/IP Address will be provided to you. Port is 22609 (default) unless stated otherwise. Username and Password will be provided. Set the Connection Speed to LAN only if your machine will stay onsite, otherwise select DSL. Click Apply.

6. Once connected, you should have two more buttons appear at the top. Click the leftmost one (looks like a PC monitor divided into four).

7. You should now be viewing the cameras.

iPhone / iPad

1. From the home screen go to Settings and touch ‘Wifi’.

2. Turn on Wifi and connect to a network to allow faster speed and to avoid excess data fees.

3. Go back to the home screen.

4. Select ‘App Store’.

5. Touch the magnifying glass (Search) at the bottom and in the search box, type in exacq.

6. Exacq mobile 3 should be the first option. Touch Install.

7. You will be asked to provide your Apple ID username and password.

8. The app will download (and appear in your app pages).

9. Touch open to directly launch the app.

10. Touch ‘Available Web Servers’ and then under Add Web Server, touch ‘exacqVision Web Server’.

11. Friendly Name can be a name of your choosing for the site, Hostname or IP Address will be provided, Port is 80 (default) unless stated otherwise. Click ‘Submit’.

12. Touch ‘Submit’. You should see your server under Available Web Servers with a ‘1’.

13. Touch the name of your server (left side).

14. The server name should now show with a 0.

15. Touch the pencil icon on the right and enter the Username and Password.

16. Touch ‘Sign In’

17. Click the Left arrow at the top to go back twice.

18. In the main screen, touch the square divided into four at the top left.

19. You should be connected to at least one camera. You can change layouts with the divided square at the top right, or view one camera at a time by touching the three lines at the top right and selecting Cameras.

Android OS

1. From the home screen go to Apps, then Settings.

2. Turn on Wifi and connect to a network to allow faster speed and to avoid excess data fees.

3. Go back to the Apps menu.

4. Select ‘Play Store’.

5. Touch the magnifying glass (Search) and type in exacq.

6. Install Exacq Mobile 3.

7. If asked for payment, you may touch ‘Skip’ (Exacq mobile is a free app).

8. Touch ‘Accept’ to allow Exacq to access photos to save images.

9. The app will download and should now appear in Apps.

10. Go back to Apps and start Exacq Mobile.

11. Touch ‘Available Web Servers’ and then under Add Web Server, touch ‘exacqVision Web Server’.

12. Friendly Name can be a name of your choosing for the site, Hostname or IP Address will be provided, Port is 80 (default) unless stated otherwise. Click ‘Submit’.

13. Touch ‘Submit’. You should see your server under Available Web Servers with a ‘1’.

14. Touch the name of your server (left side).

15. The server name should now show with a 0.

16. Touch the pencil icon on the right and enter the Usernameand Password.

17. Touch ‘Sign In’.

18. Click the Left arrow at the top to go back twice.

19. In the main screen, touch the square divided into four at the top left.

20. You should be connected to at least one camera. You can change layouts with the divided square at the top right, or view one camera at a time by touching the three lines at the top right and selecting Cameras.
